Evans Tuning Comp4/Street Stock EG hatch, 254whp/170tq
I finally decided to build another all motor setup after disappointment results from my engine last year. I've decided to run NOPI Comp4 and NHRA Street Stock for this season. I started building the engine about three months ago. Certain parts took forever to get, but I finally got it finished. Here are the specs:
Engine:
86mm x 89mm
7.7cc Cp pistons (12.8~13:1 compression)
manley lightweight rods
oem bearings
oem overbored headgasket
arp headstuds
headgames ported gsr cylinder head
ferrea valvetrain
stock size intake/exhaust valves
fluidamper race pulley
skunk2 pro3 camshafts
skunk2 cam gears
hondata IM gasket
AIR intake manifold
skunk2 70mm pro series throttle body
velocity stack intake
DTR "street sweeper" 4-1 header
3" thermal exhaust
RC 440cc injectors
walboro 255lph pump
neptune
Tuning on 93 octane/110 cam2 mix (7 gallons pump, 2 gallons race gas)
The 254whp/170tq is SAE corrected. Uncorrected it made 267whp/181tq. Engine is making incredible power for a street engine, with no ITB's, stock size intake/exhaust valves and through an exhaust. Putting a set of jenvey itbs (thanks, Tbone) on very soon, should pick up another 5-10whp and 10+ ft-lbs of torque. Engine is carrying 250whp+ till 10k.
Big thanks to:
Dave at headgames (he is a big part of this power production!!!).
Tbone (Tom) for the skunk2 hook-up, great piston coating, good advice, and last minute valve lash specs.
Full Race for hook-up on the manley rods and fluidamper.
Danny Tran (SixSigmaRacing.com) for making a kick *** header.
Here are some pics of the car/engine:

Looks good.
Throw the Full-Race intake manifold on there and do an NA comparison of the two.

OMG look at the torque!! 150lbft from 3500!!! That thing must be a tire shredder.
I can't believe I just referred to a motor making ~170lbft a tire shredder....I guess my days of mustangs are long forgotten
Congrats on the excellent motor, I'll be happy if I ever get to 220-230whp

The car idles perfectly at 1000rpm. It's 100% streetable, although I built it for mostly the track. Since Andrea's turbo car is going to be trailored, this car will have to be driven to the track. It needs to be streetable.

I have 2,000 of them...Do you need any?

Seriously bad ***! Those are some of the flattest torque and power curves that I have seen Great job building and tuning that thing
