Who is using garrett Gt35r on b16 engines?
So who has a Gt35R on their b16?
Dyno #, psi and boost threshold are what I'm looking for.

Am I not speaking english? Simply I want to see a gt35r b16 dyno, psi and spool time.

I'm going to guess it will operate just like any other small engine with an oversized turbine/compressor - it needs lots of revs or nitrous to spool. But don't mind my post, since it has no dyno sheet.

i don't have any dynos, but there was a 2000 si on here a while ago. try searching for b16 gt35, you may find it. i know it pulled away from a viper on the highway pretty good.

For compairison:
a GT28RS made 200wtq@4500rpm
a GT3037R made 200wtq@4750rpm
that GT35R made ~200wtq@5300rpm
Full-race's pink made a max of 460whp with a 57trim t3/t04e @30psi, and I would suspect that all 3 BB turbos above could easily outflow & outspool that hybrid.
Feel free to show data that the GT35R isn't too big - I want to be wrong so people keep buying overly large turbos and keep the GT28 & GT30 prices down.

They're different compressor wheel sizes to begin with also it's a 550 rpm difference with the 3037r however gt35r isnt big turbo it just makes big power .
Preach somewhere else about people with small engines needing smaller turbos I dont want any of that.
I have 1605cc's to deal with show me some 1.6L on some gt35r powar.

If you want to make 600 WHP or more all the other turbos listed in your thread are too small. There's your "data" that a GT35 isn't too big.

Guess my 'streetable' mindset isn't geling well with your ideas. I was just assuming that since you were looking at the b16, you won't be going for 700+ whp - since most people with those power goals skip to the b18. Sorry.

And that was with 2 1/2 inch IC piping and 65 mm TB only, it woudl've done over 700whp going to 3" IC piping and 70MM+ TB! It made 676whp and 402 ft-lb torque with 28psi , I wish I would've swapped to the bigger ic piping and TB! That was an 84mm bore and stock 77.4mm Stroke B16A Lil bitty motors. I miss it and feel the B16As are just as capable of same whp BUT less torque of course
On my new B18 set up we made 714whp with 32psi with 3" IC piping and 70mm TB BUT made 711whp with only 2 1/2 IC piping and 65mm TB so that helps alot .
RLZ Engineerings Turbo 4 car makes mid 600whp and runs 9.78@151mph on a B16A
Also here is my old set up

i had a gt35r on a stock bore b16. its not worth it for a street car. takes too long to spool and no fun for DD. if you want the most power for your race car then go for it.

the GT35R is not THAT MUCH of an oversized turbo the compressor wheel inducer is only 61mm so its about the size of a T60-1 turbo on the compressor side and theres tons of people pushing that. the GT30R isn't all that big either i know the GT3076R one of the bigger variations only have a 57mm inducer and thats about the size of a T04E compressor they just seem to push more power then the standard floating type bearings
but it really depends on where you want your power and how much power u want a GT28rs or so will max out somewhere alil over 300whp but the GT30R will probably keep pushing till alil under 500whp
the recommendation for hp with the gt35R is 400-600 if you don't plan to make that much its pretty pointless to get that big of a turbo. your not gonna challange it much if your only aimming for say... 350hp cuz these GT series turbos are kinda expensive and get the one for your needs to get optimal spool time and power that you really want. not like some ...*Cough dumb Cough* kids i know where they juss slap on a huge turbo and they don't spool till 6k and shift at 8k WOW all motor till 6 k lol!

Just a small correction, the GT35R inducer is 61mm true, now IF you meant a T61 or SC61 then yes those are 61mm inducer turbos BUT a 60-1 is actually 58mm. Just fyi

well i duno then cuz the 60-1 turbo i have built here has a 60mm comp wheel i have measured it and its 59.9 or 60mm don't know if it REALLY is a 60-1 compwheel but thats what my buddy at the turbo shop sent me

Nope not a 60-1! Even the Turbonetics 62-1 is still 58mm BUT had a bigger exducer than the 60-1. What kind of turbo do you have? Garrett? Turbonetics? ITS? Holeset?
Precision makes an SC60 and SC52 which have 60mm compressor wheels Inducer of course

well my buddy with a turbo shop in AZ sent it to me and he does alot of custom turbo work so its a garrett to4e comp housing and he machined it and the seal plate to fit the wheel and i put it together with a t3 turbine wheel so its a funky lil hybrid
