Default 91 SI 4.25 final drive in my 92 cx trans?

Is it possible? I think it might speed this thing up with my 91 Si eng in it. Is it hard to do? Has anyone ever done this before? Please help out?

Your CX has a 3.25, while the 1992-1995 DX has the 4.06, and the 1992-1995 Si/EX has the 4.25 also.

I'm not 100% about the CR-X si 4.25 working, though it *should*, but I am sure that the 1992-1995 Si/EX would work. Internals on the cable-type CR-X trannies may be slightly different than the hydro 1992-up D-Series trannies.

Good luck though, and if you can find a 1992-1995 Si/EX tranny, I'd swap the whole thing in - cloer gearing too, not just a better FD.
