Default All Motor 2.0L Integra Type R Project; as it develops.

Here are a couple photos of some bottom end components that are going into the new 2.0L B18C5. Just a little history...

We started with a new B18C5 short block, minus the pistons, rods, oil pump and pan. I was very glad to get the short block this way, since we didn't need these parts anyway (I did have to buy a new ITR oil pump though).

The new block was sent to RS Machine for the 2.0L sleeve. The pistons are Arias custom forged 12.5:1 (Dennis@LDL designed the domes for these pistons). When we received the pistons from Arias, they went to HPC coatings in Chandler, AZ for thermal barrier coating on the domes, and anti-friction coatings on the piston skirts. The rods are from Crower and the stud kits for the head and block are from ARP.

I'll post more photos as the build develops

You know, the engine builder told me the bore dimensions when we got the block back from RS machine, but I didn't write it down. I'll get that bit of information tomorrow.

EDIT: 85mm x 87.2mm

I have a new set of JUN III cams w/springs (these were quite difficult to get), and Supertech Ti retainers. The header will be a custom piece from DTR-Fab. The manifold is the stock ITR unit that has been port matched and extrude honed.

The head work is next on the list, and will be removed from the B18C5 that is currently in the ITR this week.
