I heard Hawk HP+ works well. I ran stockers up front and $11 AutoZone secials out back last weekend, and they worked fine. Much better then trying to run R4 for AutoX.
SPiFF, who this year will have Hawk Blue and Porterfield R4 for track and Hawk HP+ for AutoX.
YO WHY U GOTA HATE YO!!!! I ASKD A SIMPLE QUSTEN AN U GOTA BE ALL LIKE DO A SEARCH!!!!! YO JUS TELL ME WHUT I NEED 2 NO!!!

For street and auto-x, the best choices for a good dual-duty pad are:
Axxis Ultimate (most streetable of the three)
Hawk HP Plus (least streetable of the three)
Porterfield R4S (in between in terms of streetability)
All three will offer similar braking performance in terms of bite and feel, with the HP Plus have a slight edge in terms of bite. Temperature ranges are similar.
I personally recommend the Axxis Ultimate, however.

LOL? Someone asks the question seriously and usually gets told to search.
Someone asks the question mostly tongue-in-cheek and gets slew of instant, informative responses!

I have used Axxis MetalMasters and Porterfield R4's with good success on street and autox.
But I drive a Lightning, so the above bit of info is useless here.
Edit: MetalMasters suck on track.

". If you are going to bring the #24 mule out for AutoX, you should still get some pads. I did 3 autoxes on race pads last year since I didn't have anythign else .. and man .. they didn't work too good. I ran R4 which is my drive to/from track and Roebling Road pad. The stockers work much better.

Actually for the best brakes for autox:
First step: blow your floorboard out using the NOS nitrous oxide systems system just before you blow the welds on your intake manifold (the "just before" part is very important...)
Second step: Get a nice set of Adidas with thick soles and jam them through your aformentioned missing floorboard whenever you need to brake.
Works for me every time.

y0 what type of brake padz should i get to help me with my mad drifting techniques???
You should get water cooled brakes like those on the european recing big rigs!
Actually... the Endless CC-D pads I think they are called, are rear-only pads designed to be used for e-brake drifting.
I've heard tha Bounty paper towels are the secret "trick" set up. Ask whitney, krshultz, or MaddMatt about it...
Shhhh... don't tell...

I posted this last year, but friends don't let friends use Metal Masters for track events. Unfortunately, I didn't know this friend was using them until his brakes caught fire. Maybe this is just a isolated incident, but then again....
