Hardcore gutted guys....you daily drivers or weekenders? And what do you think of this car?
I am actually using my friends SN because mine (vortex layover) doesn't let me post.
Anyway. I actually have a 95 GTi VR6 but absolutly love what you guys are doing over here. Expecially interior wise. And just looking to do some sort of the same. So I'm not asking for pics, just opinions.
Does it get annoying? What do the girls say? (just give em a back hand?) hahaha
I am going to take my carpet and headliner and all that out, and get rid of a tad more wiring and a few other things, and just throw some paint back there. But I want to be able to go back to stock if absolutly needed.
So let me know what you think of the car and drop some opinions of gutted interiors. Good or Bad!

looks sweet.
my car is gutted in the rear, its started to annoy me during winter because my i have to scrape ice off the outside and inside of windows
other than that i prefer having no interior. I do always get people moaning that it only has two seats tho.

Thanks Jeff. One of my favorites on here. I was going to primer it and gonna to ask a friend if he can throw some paint in there. I'm not looking for perfection, just a clean gut. haha.

If you are going to completely gut it, make sure you are up for all the noise and temp changes that come with it. When I had my 96 GTI, I gutted the rear of the car for autocross duty and this was my daily driver. I didn't mind it to much. It did suck if more than one person wanted to ride with you, or if you had to explain it to a date. My 93 hatch is completely gutted and purely an autocross car. It is noisy, freezing cold in the winter and hot as ball sweat in the summer. I had to daily drive it for a week last year in the winter time when I totaled my GTI and it was not fun at all. I wouldn't mind having a daily driver gutted completely in the back but with the front half of the interior left alone. Just my .02 worth. Did I see a Jetta front end on your GTI?
fully gutted is pretty nasty man
looks like ****,
rattles like ****
you hear every sound the car makes 10fold
just do what i did,
gut the rear interior ,but leave the plastic paneling. looks great, saves weight, still alil rattly.. but not as.

my crx was gutted and it ******* sucked!! hahah i mean it was coool and **** but with no interior and azenis to make it worse the road noise was super loud and during the summer with no ac and **** it suckkkkkked soooo bad
so i sold it and got a car with heat/ac and full interior.

my shots arent as professional... but theres a lot of versatility even with everything being gutted. Road noise is not that bad with decent exhaust (i have worldsport) and the ladies dont care (i run harnesses on both seats) but i have a really chill girlfriend.
Heat stays in the car, and with a proper stereo (i enclosed my rear speakers) it sounds good. As for the paint... mine is done with rattle can and a lot of patience. Dry ice and blow dryers are your friend.
Also, to clean it up more, i took out the gas tank popper thingy and the trunk release. I took out the wires for the light on the headliner, and also removed all the door open/closed sensors.
