least expensive and prob most effective setup would be H&R sports on koni special 'red' shocks. $149 for the springs and about $320/set for the reds, although the koni sport yellows would only be about $130 more.
but i'd save up for koni/gc setup.

I have the same question. I was thinking of going with Tokico Blues and Eibach. But now, I might be going with Eibach Pro Kit and Koni Red.
Is there a huge diff. between Koni Red versus Tokico Blues

there is a difference between teh koni reds and the blues. Koni reds have the same internals as the yellows, they are just valved softer and have to be adjusted while off the car. Blues are not a performance shock imo.

from what I read here people like the Illuminas and don't like the blues.
I ran Koni Sports and Eibach Pro-kits for a while and I really liked them. The reason I spent a little more on Konis was because I knew I would eventaully upgrade to GCs.

illuminas are the best value shock, and quite frankly, i gave a pair of rear koni yellows a try, and went back to illuminas.
theres a vendor on ebay that sells illuminas lower than anyone else ive seen. i dont think you have to buy them via ebay, i would contact them directly, im sure they would be willing to make a private sale.
and no i dont recommend tokico blues. theyre made in china now and ive heard so many bad experiences with them that i cant vouch for em.
