06 600's
r6 looks good, too bad their dyno #'s look like crap, whats the point in having a 17,500rpm redline if the power falls at 15,000.
I do like the 06' GSXR 600, but i'm thinkg about a 06' or possiobly 07' GSXR1000 i've finally come around to loving the new body styles and the fact that the 1000 is just so light it's amazing.
and loving the all black ZX-6R's
as soon as we get in our R6 test bike i'll post up some #'s as well as our GSXR600.

You clearly have never road raced a motorcycle.
From the rumors and very few dyno's I've seen of the R6 the disappointment wasn't in the power falling off before redline.
Get whatever one you think looks the best. You'll be happy and blind brand loyalty will ensue.

i was under the impression that the extra couple thousand RPMs was so you could have room to shift after hitting peak power through a corner, not to make peak power right at 17.5k.
I like the R6s, but the only bike i would really consider is the new triumph daytona 675. Although now i'd almost be more interested in an older Honda RC45 or NC35.
I'm mostly waiting till 07 to see what honda does.

I'd kill for a RC45. If you want a titled NC35, this mint condition one might be for sale but might not come cheap

RC45 and N35 and N30 are beautiful bikes, if i had enough money I would invest in any of those 3 bikes. The new R6 is a good bike indeed, but I believe the 17,500rpm was more as a marketing scheme to sell which it is doing pretty well.

I'd go with the new 06' R6. That bike is so sweet, I'm thinking about trading my 04' R6 for it. I was at a show not to long ago and one of the reps at Yamaha told me its making like 136 horse. I don't think its to the wheels but that is a huge difference from the 05'. Really aggressive riding position too.

The last gen r6 redlined at 15k but stopped producing power at about 12,750. It's called overrev and it's there for a reason...
but 600's? Nah, I just got an rc51...Who needs the latest and greatest when you only have 2 cylinders?

Yawn. Just more focused trackbikes that will be out of their element on public roads. </TD></TR></TABLE>
Isn't it great? Can't wait to get one out on the track.

Yeah? So what's the problem? These bikes were built for the track, street riding was just a side thought.

It had **** numbers compared to the gixxer they showed up until peak power where it pulled ahead.
The graph looked a little shady though and I think it was from overseas.
