FYI to all those in the VA/DC/MD area...

Early this morning between 3am - 9am (3-19) my friends '00 silver EK Coupe HX was stolen from her house in Centreville, VA. The alarm was activated (BFD), and no one heard or saw anything (typical). Equipped with springs, exhaust, intake, 17" white koesi k1s, driving lamps, and black GSR seats. Real cute car for her. She did have an attempted break in a couple of weeks ago. We imagine it was do to her CD player. I have been on her *** about taking her CD face off / CDs and taking them inside. I am not certain if she did this last night or not. This neighboor hood is poo, tons-o-poopoo cars hooked up. Constant cars vroomin' by. Doesnt mean they did it.. Makes me apprehensive about my car when I go over. .. . . blah! I know some heads that post in these forums live in the area.... I'm going to start sleeping in my car. Anyone have any ideas or thoughts... thanks!

there had been a crazy rash of stolen cars in VA. maybe the FBI or something should look into this. this is like the 10th car in like 3 months i heard stolen in VA.im glad i dont live there

 

Yes - there has actually been police investigation on a large rash of stolen cars /break-ins. They think it is a crew coming from MD and hitting numerous places different nights of the week, etc. . .. It sux - I don't know if I want to put my cf hood back on er not - car looks pretty stock now , just si wheels. hmmm.

id say not to put the CF hood back on - thats been a main target for these *******, anyways im keeping my car under wraps now and keeping it bone stock looking hopefully, **** cosmetics now...

 

Sorry to hear that man... just to let you know, my car was stolen from me on 03/07/02 in front of my house. I invested so much money on the car. It was 2000 Si supercharged. I feel ya man... hope everything turns out ok.

You know sooner or later the government is going to have to step in with some form of inspection laws so that stolen engines won't be so easy to get away with.

There needs to be some form of regulation with sales via the internet also. Right now, anything can be sold on the internet without any type of verification of where that item came from. It's just a free for all for thieves, and it will continue to happen until laws are changed or new ones made.

Anyways, sorry about the car man. No matter how many times I hear them, stories of stolen cars still manage to get my blood boiling.

Maybe we should set up a trap for thieves... leave car unlocked...wait up and see.... your car door opens you come rushin' out of your house and BLAMO he gets clocked with a 29oz EASTON! heh

Are there any laws in VA that says you can protect your valuables like that? I know Texas you can use deadly force. In VA can you at least get away with turning their kidneys to pulp?+

I'll post the status on the car once it's found... or if... I'm sure it will be the car wasn't very modified. *shruggs* maybe she'll get lucky and they'll only take her driving lamps.... or her air freshener

sorry to hear about all the cars getting stolen.. i watch over my car like a hawk when im out.. i dont want anything to happen to it.. i have stuff that thieves can look in and see so it scares me even more.. *thought to self, relocate vafc and gauages*

coookiie did you ever find out anything about your car? and if not what are you doing about it, did insurance cover it???

actually, from 3/1/02 to 3/9/02 9 cars were stolen from the West Springfield District of Fairfax County, which to those of you who dont know VA is not big at all. 8 of them were honda's, and 1 was a mitsu 3000GT

and this morning two cars were stolen.. or 3... Northern VA is getting hit pretty hard. me and a couple of my friends wanna do a stake out.. heh....

put it this way.. everything you do to protect your car, isnt anything in a theif's mind.. if they want it.. they will get it. best thing i could think of.. is park your car in between 2 cars.. like litterally bumper to bumper, or in a garage. as for show cars.. bumper to bumper.. put a peice of cloth or a towel in between so you dont scratch.. i kicked my dad outta the garage ) i may scratch on the way up.. but i feel safer knowing its in the garage

my 2 cents.. if anyone finds out who is stealing em.. lemme know i'll get a group of ppl together

As long as its on your property, and he does something to "THREATEN" you, you can fire, any possibly get away w/ it.. but if you're at like the pool hall.. not much you can do but club them upside the head ;p

 

i say hide out..and stake up the place.. and take aim with your glock...
dont unlock it or anything.. those theives can get through the alarm anyway.. anyone know a nice civic si owner who wants to donate some bait...
