Default My First Topmount

All done now!
Note there are no pictures of it with the tial 44 wastegate on it because I had to return my borrowed wastegate to my friend before I got pictures, but I can assure it fits no problem. Sorry pics are so big, I will resize them once I get back home.

Note this manifold was designed so that nothing had to be modified for it to fit, other than half radiator and aftermarket crossmember for downpipe.

Thanks guys, Yes I do plan on selling these, this was my first one so I have to build lots of jigs, and fixtures off of it tomorrow because my buddy needs his car back so I cant keep him waiting much longer.
For ordering go check out my post in the forced induction sponsors post as I don't want mods to get angry with me doing that stuff in here.

Thanks for all yalls compliments, I didn't even think this setup was going to be possible but after 20 hours of playing around with designs and scrapping 200$ of stainless I found it it is

hey james,
will the turbo sit like that in a integra as well? or will the turbo straight and not angled to the side?

In a teg it will go straight like all the other top mounts, this was angled because of the space constraints in the crx (if it was straight the exhaust housing would have hit primary number 2 and the compressor housing would have been close to hitting primary 1, lastly the downpipe would be next to impossible to pull of if it wasn't angled).

Also note the design pictured is strictly for EF Chassis,
For all other cars the original tacked together top mount is what I will build

no I dont sorry, this is my buddies car and he is just letting me borrow it to mock up the manifold, downpipe and dumptube, he currently has is own turbo kit so those chargepipes and what not dont go to the turbo.
I would suggest after looking at it though to run a back door style intercooler

The same place you put an air filter with all other top mounts
He is going to be using a screen and then some panty hose over the screen for an air filter. My next one will allow a full K&N air filter to work though

looks good james. i'm doing the same setup for my next manifold in my crx. i was planning on twisting the turbo more towards the timing belt though so i could run an intake pipe behind the headlight. the toughest part is going to be fitting the compressor that close to the #1 exhaust port.

The wastegate tube hasnt been welded on yet, that is why you dont see it,
basically it will be directly below the compressor housing and will fire straight down to the ground.

The tubing is 16 gauge 1 3/4 stainless
I got it from vertex industries
$26 a u bend that has 2" clr and these are very very nice mandrel bends.
