What are they per year for the U.S. type R?

 

As fas as I know there is no specific order and I have not yet seen same numbers for different years..

no one (includeing honda america) really knows exactly how many ITR's were imported. The most common approx #s I've seen thrown around are 750 in 97 and around 1200 in 98, 00 and 01.
And, once in a while you'll run into some fool talking about "Hey, I have number 14umpty squat, so there must be at least 1400" at this point smack aforementioned fool with a valve cover because the #s on the consoles don't mean a whole lot.

That is the first thing I tried! I did a search on "ITR PRODUCTION NUMBERS". Know what I came up with......NOTHING!

 

Guess you didn't search well enough

Generally accepted numbers are 600-750 for '97, and around 1500 each for '98, '00 and '01. Give or take a few here and there. Then again, since VIN numbers don't correspond to badge numbers and whatnot, who really knows for sure?

Hmmm... I was sympathetic to this idea, so to see if it would work, I tried searching on "how many" (since that was in the title of the thread whose link was posted above) and it returned no matches. WTF is up with that???

 

I've got some info from tha last time this came up.

97 - 318 sold in the US (~480 sold in North America)
98 - 1023 sold in the US.
