Default B18a1

I'm thinking of buying a B18a1 swap for my car... is the full swap worth $500 Canadian?
can you put V-Tech on it? if so this would make it a B18c1 right?
B18a1 has 130HP with Vtech it would have 170HP or somthing?
or do i need more like a ECU from a c1...

u mean can u put vtec head....v-tech is the phone...jk....but really....I am 100% doing the b18a (90/91 ls teg) next year as well....I honestly would stay obd0 because 10hp doesnt mean anything when the head is going to be full p/p..new cams...and I/H/E....so Ide say save ur $200+ on obd-1 wiring and invest in the engine..You can put on a b16a head which would make it lsvtec....and thats usually 170+hp.....

For full swap are you referring to b18a engine w/ complete wiring harness, intake, injectors, tb,,,all that stuff, tranny, axles, shifter cables, throttle cables, ECU, mounts??? cuz that would be a full swap... But if you can get all of that for $500...thats one good deal....but also what shape is the engine in?

For me personally im gonna buy an autopac writeoff for $100....as i will have the tranny/axles/engine/and everything else.

yea well im just new to all of this stuff... i dont know the short names of the stuff just what it is and what i want... like everything is crazy numbers and stuff and it takes a while to figure it all out

but all I know is that its engine, tranny and ECU... I'm not sure what condition the engine is in just yet,... but he "says" it runs perfectly, I wanted the B18c1 Swap, but I figure that if this is a good deal I could just put a diffrent head on this swap

its going into my CRX DX... it should be a direct swap.

I know this is a STUPID question... but in order for me to do a swap, all i need is the block, head, tranny and ECU? anything else major? or will it wprk just as well... cuz i dont want to have a swap that runs like crap

You need b-series mounts for a 88-91 civic/crx..Hasport,hcp,placeracing,aznrace,etc
90-93 integra rear mount bracket..
Sir shiftlinkage or a hybrid piece..Hasport,hcp,etc..
You gotta convert to mpfi..Since you have a dx with dpfi
If the motor swap is obd0(90-91 b18a) you wont have to worry about wiring besides the mpfi..But if its obd1(92-93b18a) you have to convert the car to obd1.Or sell all the obd1 components on the motor and get obd0 stuff.
Yeah and you gotta make a nice big dent on the inner fender for alterantor clearence..And cut off the braket on the crossmember

and when/if you put the vtec head on I suggest converting to obd1 and running a p28 chipped for lsvtec..Blah,blah,search for the other ****
