that is just a monitor and dvd player. it acts as a slave to the pioneer headunit. you'll need a headunit that has am/fm/cd to control it and connect all your speakers and amps.

you can connect it to any other brand headunit that has a auxillary input for the sound. or it has no aux input, you can just use an fm modulator to put the sound off the dvd player into your existing stereo, but that would be kinda ghetto.

well it says that it has a dvd player , cd player and others so does it play cds or not would it just play dvd's

if you look at the picture of the box in the link you posted, it says it plays cd/mp3/wma too.

but you still need to connect it to something with a volume **** for it to work.
