Delta 260 or 272 work with stock valvetrain
Using the header off your D16Y7?
Why race bearings instead of the standard? I noticed vteckidd is using the same bearings. Guess Don just likes them?

Go Exospeed cam if they are still around. I did hear some negative stuff from them in the past few months but their A6 cam had some nice reviews though. Really dont like Gude Im sure many on here dislike them as well. Try Crower as well. If you build it right that setup will make well over 135whp.
From what i have heard about the A6 head, the valvesprings are overkill from the factory. So all you have to do to run a larger cam is get a set of stock springs. Dont believe me, look around or call exospeed.
i would contact delta before i would get a regrind from exospeed.
also web could probably make you a nice grind at a competative price.
sometimes you can find guys selling used cams for the A6 for nothing too.
you wont have any problems with fresh OEM valvetrain components, i've ran them to 8k rpms all day. you'll make 120+ easy.
i've got a simular setup in my beater and with a stock cam i got 38mpg at 90mph on the hwy, and a couple 1/8 miles passes. i've got a couple cams i'm gonna play with when i get some time here before the snow falls

That's OK, I think Rob from JDM Cars has one.

Some pictures, more cleaning required.
75.25mm bored block

Polished Crank - I hate tarnish but it will be history soon.

P29 Pistons

Being safe with new oil pump and pick up

Probably around 11.4:1. I'll have to see how much these pistons are in hole after I install them. The head has been surfaced but Don hasn't told me how much was removed.

Wow ~11.5 compr. rate. Stock injectors will work for this engine? Must work. So, what kind of timing angle recommend?
Did calculation if this swap try to do on D16Z6 engine. Some ~13 compr. rate. I think there could be some problems. ECU tuning necessary.

yes stock injectors will be adequate at that compression. you would have a hard time getting a Z6 to run well on pump gas with 13:1. you'd be pulling timing.

Tomorow we will put back the engine, and run it. After some 3 weeks we could pull it hard. Engine have new bearings and rings, need to break it. First oil change after 500 km, then after 2000 km second change. I guess 5W40 will be OK.
