Default 5th gen: LX and EX compatibility

i need to buy the intermediate pipe for my 94 accord . i am purchasing it from this site http://www.secureleadercom.com...block . however, they offer two of them . one for a LX (part #524019) and a EX (part #524021 ) . is there any difference between the two such as fitment, size, etc ? i always thought that the LX and EX were the same except for the muffler tips .

The difference between the LX and EX, is that the muffler has a 2 tips at the end for EX, when LX has a single one. I also believe that the exhaust manifold for DX and LX is slightly different from the EX. Other than that, everything should be the same. But the company has to follow the idea that LX and EX are totally different.
So the answer, should be yes!

May have something to do with oxygen sensors. On 4th gen the ex had two and the lx had one.

i also noticed something different between the two . i noticed the LX has a smaller resonator/flex pipe compared to the EX . is there any reason for that ?

the difference in the resonator size is probably just because of the different exhaust manifold differences or something, but again, as far as fitament between the two trim models you can interchange whatever part you want..

The downpipes are NOT interchangable between EX and LX, you can see clearly in the above picture. The EX has is 4-2-1 and the LX is 4-1. The only way you can use the EX downpipe is if you swap over the EX exhaust manifold also.

intermediate pipe bolts up to the cat. and EX pipe will NOT LINE UP on a 94-95 LX. its the flange design off of the cat. however, it WILL line up on a 96-97 LX. EX midpipe will NOT line up on a DX

sorry for bringing back up a old thread, but what's different about the flange design between the EX and LX cat/pipe ? the flange design looks the same to me (from the two pics posted above) and i see no differences .
