IF IM NOT MISTAKEN DONT YOU HAVE TO SPLICE THE SIGNAL WIRE. AND WHEN YOU DO ONE WIRE GOES INTO THE BACK OF THE CLUSTER IN PIN LOCATION A11 AND THE OTHER WIRE GOES INTO THE ECU INTO PIN LOCATION B16. RIGHT?

if im not mistaken i dont think that it matters whether your running obd-0 or obd-1, both the cluster and the ecu needs the signal. right?anybody?

yes, I swapped in an ITR cluster and had to split the signal to the cluster and to the ECU. I couldn't find the correct wire on my cluster wiring to tap into so I split the signal wire

What if you have a stock cable tranny? how would you use the cluster since it needs a electronic vss?

we already answered that, you switch to an electronic VSS and run the 3 wires
power, signal and ground

I just installed mine a few weeks ago. You have to run the wire to the computer.
This is in my 88std model.
