Ok I'm starting to get excited about my car again. I just picked up a b18c(ITR) short-block last night from a member on this board.

Im planning on putting my b16 head on it and using my current j1 tranny. So far my list of parts I need to get this to work are.

ARP Headstuds- not sure what ones to get b16 or ITR.
waterpump- ITR
Timing belt- ITR
Headgasket- Mugen(want to bump up compression a little)
LMA's- ITR (current ones are very loud)
flywheel- current b16 or aftermarket

Also I am going to put a cam and valvetrain package in the head(havent decided on that yet, any suggestions?).


If any of this is wrong please correct me, and if I forgot anything tell me.

 

am i on the right track?

btw way i'm picking up a service manual from a friend who used to have a type R, so that will give me all my tourqe specs.

 

you know i saw a really good write up on this swap on club si ... you might want to check it out they even list part #'s of all the parts your going to need ....

remember you even need the timing belt covers because they are different ..

what headstuds should i get b16 or B18c, i need to get these ordered.

cams im considering are buddyclub spec III+'s, Rocket M22's, or ctr's.

did some more searching. I'm going with the buddy club cams and im pretty sure i need the b18c headstuds
