Default d16y8 vs d16z6 head

i been searching about this two cylinder heads .. to see wat is the difference between them.. im planin to go turbo but i dont know which of this head is more durable and powerfull.....i'm changing camshaft, springrs, valves 1mm over, ill do port and polish.. millings..but im still not sure which head is better than the other..do they have any differences?.... i seen pple swapin d16z6 head on d16y7 block.. also d16y8 head on d16z6 block... anyone can help me to chose between two of this.. or share any ideas which one is better..

* i know its single cam and it slow.. if u dont know wat to post dont post..
* i know the blocks slightly different.... u need to have two set of head studs..

Go with the Z6, less compression, but flows better than the Y8 does.

even w. the port, polish. chamber work, bigger valves....? z6 is more better?

i forgot what it was called someone explained it to me once... but the y8 head has different kind of ports.. where they are un equal... the ports are offset and flow less but the cumbustion chamber is smaller making it higher compression.... just go wtihh the z6 head

i bought the crower stage 2 camshaft.. retrainers and springs for y8... would they work on z6?

go with the z6. the combustion chamber volume is larger on the z6 so therefore it will give you a lower compression ration than a y8 head. lower compression is what you want with a turbo. it also flows better. the good thing about the y8 though is that it has some that helps prevent detenation, forget exactly what..

even if i do chamber work... meanin from the square make into circle to fit the piston..
bc im lookin to run 78mm low compresion pistons.. still z6 is better?

yea its still better, but if youre going to be doing some porting on the y8, go ahead and use it, itll be alright.
