Default Stitch Welding a DC2

Where are the Key points? I want maximum stiffness and time is no issue with the new shop I've got now and since I'm doing it myself.

this is a picture that i saw a long time ago.... its a pretty good picture of the unibody chassis.... just look at it and add support where you wish but just know that youll have to modify interior pieces.

I reccomend working in the suspension areas and working towards combining them like strutbars do. but just dont add too much reinforcement. you still have to consider weight distribution and overall weight if your looking to build a track car.

Strut towers

Rear Subframe

Fenders

Frame Rails

Probably the door arches too, since that is a huge hole.

And remember not to do the welds continuously, do them at like 1cm weld, 2cm nothing, and 1cm weld and so on... otherwise you'll start to crack the frame from somewhere, where you dont want it to.

thats going to REALLY AFFECT your collapse zones in the vehicle...0energy from a collision wont be transfered and/or absorbed properly...could be dangerous...hope this isnt going to be a street car...

That an ITR structure.

As long as you keep them consistent, you can pretty much do it wherever you want. I've seen 240 owners do their entire car.
