Default MOSPORT lapping day

Hi guys,

I just wanted to let you know that our shop is hosting a lapping day on the Mosport GP circuit on October 22(Saturday).
The cost is $300CDN and you will have more track time available than you can possibly use.
We will have full flagging stations, ambulance and a tow vehicule.

Mosport is situated just east of Toronto. The track is awesome for those who are not aware. Our group runs safe and friendly lapping days.
All you need is prior track experience to participate.

You can email me for more details.

carl@tracracing.com

Thanks

This is an excellent event, I've been to two of them in the past and there was more available track time than I could use. Mosport is one of the must-drive tracks too...

Hmmm, will passengers be allowed? I would love to take a couple of friends/coworkers/helpers for a few scary rides over corner 2 (better stock up on barf bags ) Although Oct 22nd.....I may have to bring the snow tires.

Indeed Mosport is a very demanding track however, we are conducting a lapping day and no racing is implied.

Obviously the more experience you have the better. We are not inviting novices nor the newbies, but intermidiate drivers with good discipline will have no trouble enjoying this track.

Our club intructors will be on hand for pointers and follow the leader sessions.

The best thing is that there is no pressure to go fast..... just drive as you feel comfortable.

Do you have track experience?

Indeed, we start out with follow the leader and we let you set your own pace after that. You can still have a great time at Mosport without pushing the car anywhere near its limit.

I do have some track experience.
I have lapped at cayuga a few times in 2004 and also shannonville twice in 2004
Nothing in 2005...

I would say I not a complete novice but not yet intermediate....

I see no reason why you shouldn't enjoy yourself on this day.

Hope to see you there.

I participated in this last year and although the temps were cooler, it was still the best lapping day i've attended at the Mosport GP track. wish I could join you guys this year but I'm having the car worked on as soon as this weekend is put behind me.

See you this weekend at the campfire Carl!

Carl, I'll hopefully be in turn 1. Andrew W might be there too in the coach/trailer combo.

Do you know if Kuno won the race? I was over at DDT doing the shootout.

That EL is really nice and quite fast. The guys running the team are fun too!!

Thanks Todd, Scott and Co. for supplying the beer and sausages...and congrads on the championship!!

The was red flagged on the 8th lap - one of the Sentras flipped three times in 5a and lay in a bad spot on its roof. The driver was fine, just a bit bruised. I finished the year 3rd in GTB and 5th in the race.

Ya Celebration was a blast. Ran my best time ever at Mosport, a 1:39.3. Although, had a "small" incident in turn 9...now the right side is a litlle...um.....bent, right from the front to the back. Removing the front splitter shaved a 1/2 second before anyone asks where it is........

Morning practice was mayhem on Saturday with 77 cars out on track, ranging from GTD to GT1. I think I got passed at least 50 times, and passed another 50 myself.......woo-hooooo.
