where do you guys get your brembo blanks, and why brembo?
why not any other brand, if they are just regular rotors?
how much are they, how many events do you use them for before you need to turn them, and where do ya get them?

let me clarify.... Autozone rotors are not Brembo.
why spend more money on something that will get tossed anyway?

http://www.collettimotorsports.com About $38 each... well worth the money for real Brembos.
plus $10 shipping = ~$50 each.
So.. 2 sets of Autozone rotors vs. One set of Bremhoes.

-who has yet to see a set of Brembos on a car that lasted any longer than another rotor

I would try the Autozone version if there was an Autozone anywhere near me. It's about $90 shipped to my door if I go through Colletti, which still is quite good, considering that I came from a car where I was forking over $90 per 13.1" Coleman ring.

If all rotors are exactly the same, there would be no benefit to using Brembos over Napa/Autozone/etc. Yes, they are interchangeable but I would bet a fair amount of coin there are differences that make the OEM or perhaps Brembos a better value.
Let look at another side of this, do you want to trust your life to the cheapest set of rotors you can find? I do not and only run OEM Honda rotors on my ITC CRX and have had no problems. I have recently tried Carquest rotors on my street Integra and have warped two sets in 4 months. I just this week installed a set of Brembos- will see how these work.
Re: Turning rotors on a road race car- this is not a good idea since this will make them even more prone to warping or worse since by removing material from the rotor you are decreasing the amount of heat the rotor can absorb. Not a good idea.
Good luck

I'm still using the factory rotors on my '01 ITR and I've put at least 6-7 track events on them this year... Getting ready to install Brembos.

Oh that sucks you can't get "Acura" parts from Majestic Honda http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...catdisplay.jsp. Does any Honda use the ITR rotor?

CRV five lug?
I know the Accord wagons and V6s use ITR brakes (actually it is the ITR that uses Accord wagon/V6 brakes) but the hub design is a bit different. Odessy?
I'm just wondering if there's a Honda with an identical part number to the ITR rotor. 97+ Prelude perhaps.

Yep I bought some AutoZone 10.3" rotors and ran them on my del Sol... $23 each. 3 month exchange/refund policy. 6 track days thus far, looks fine just like any other rotor I've used only much cheaper. It is stamped Made In China.
Cast iron isn't rocket science. They are good in my book.
