Default Need help identifying wires, etc.

So this is my first engine swap. I'm thrilled as all can be. However, since i've never done this ebfore, i want to make sure I'm doing it right. So I've posted a few pictures with letters next to parts I don't quite know. Fill in the blanks if you can.

BTW, this engine is a JDM d15b Vtec-e engine.

Each one of these is a sensor or wire of some sort, except for C, which is a tube that I don't know where it goes. I guess that could be the coolant line, but if it is, what is the tube under F?

D is an interesting one. It had two wires that go to the plug (green and black) and then four grounds that attach to the block. This might be the termostat housing, but it doesn't resemble the one I've seen from the d15b2, so it's all greek (or in this case, it's all Japanese) to me.

Is H the EGR? Is I the knock sensor?

Please help as I'd like to prepare for my swap with as much ease as possible.

Considering that it's 11pm and the stores are closed, I was counting on the kindness of strangers for this one.

Man, every time I think that this place is a community to help each other, some jerkoff goes and shatters that illusion.

Hey, remember when your mom told you that if you had nothing good to say that you'd be better saying nothing at all? Well, she wasn't just talking about your complexion.

Not too sure about D, E, F, and G. C looks to me like just a coolant line. B is your coolant temp wire for your gauge cluster. A is the coolant temperature sensor for the ECU. H is your IACV or (idle air control valve) plug. I is your Intake Air Temp Sensor or IATS. Id replace the TPS and like the guy before me said, id buy a manual. For this engine, id recommend any civic with a SOHC VTEC engine. Happy hunting

Oh, And C should go back to your Heater Core i believe. Someone correct me if im wrong. The hose under F goes to your lower radiator. and the hose at the front goes to the upper. Good luck, hope your swap works out for you.

I = Intake air vale
H= eletronic air control valve
B , and A look like coolant temp sensors. I know A is for sure
D = Radiator fan switch

Get some better pics

This is the only other one I have. I can get a close up of A and B tomorrow.

Im 100% sure of the sensors that i told you about already. As well as the names and the acronyms for them as well.

A & B coolant temps
C heater core hose (should be outlet side I think)
D should be fan switch
E don't know
F don't know (may be vtec solenoid)
G not sure (may be oil pressure sensor)
H Idle Air Control Valve
I Intake Air Temp Sensor

And yah you'll need to fix your TPS

Looks like I need to fix my IATS too. I guess this is when over planning really pays off. I have a whole set of extra sensors to use.

If A and B are both coolant temps, which one is ECU and which one is for the dash?

G= vtec solenoid

The ones next too it, I still can't tell where they run from the pics.

Nope G is definately oil pressure its a threaded sensor.

F should be solenoid its the single green/yellow (i think) and it goes to the solenoid.

the only one I am not positve on is the 3 wire one(E). I am guessing that just has to do with the fact its a vtec-E.

A Coolant temp Ecu
B Coolant temp Cluster
C heater core hose (should be outlet side I think)
D should be fan switch
E don't know ****probably has to due with vtec-E ****
F vtec solenoid
G oil pressure sensor
H Idle Air Control Valve
I Intake Air Temp Sensor

I really ment it was just for vtec, I did not look at it twice. Plus all this has been covered in the faq section
