Resently on my build i picked up an action 6 puck unsprung and used my act xd pd. This pp was only on my car for 1500 miles with a street strip disc and was find when i took it off the car. So i figured it was alright. I also have a cm flywheel with like 10k on it (unboosted) it looked fine, no burn or grooves. Well with 1000 mile on my motor, i go to the track and run my first run kinda hard (15lbs) In 4th gear it feels like either my tires are slipping or my clutch. I run a 13.6, which seems alittle high for my setup. I run again and the same **** happens, 13.6 with increddible slippage in 4th and 5th. I let off and turn to get my ticket. Now the clutch barely engages. I had enough meat to get me home (like an hour drive) and tare it out. The clutch is completely distroyed. Its missing material on both sides of the puck. There is also alot of blue heat distortion on the flywheel and pp. What would cause my clutch to **** so fast? I havent dynoed my car yet but i think im around the 350 mark. Could of the clutch been adjusted too tight?
setup
b16a benson/cp/manely rods t3/t4
gsr tranny (hydro) quiafe lsd 205/40/r16 tires/ autozone axels
Act pp action 2m unsprung 6 puck cm flywheel
its a crx with the hasport cable to hydro conversion, the clutch also grabs around the middle of the pedal. And was pretty easy to street.

air in the clutch line?
slave/master cylinders okay?
that sucks!, what kind of clutch are you going to get now?</TD></TR></TABLE>
i shifted fast but it wasnt hard getting into gears, i have no slave/master its a hasport conversion so i run a cable to the hydro tranny. I wonder if it was too tight and had the clutch partial engaged
pics will be up soon

From the looks of the clutch and his setup, it wasn't a clutch issue. The thing wore out from not being adjusted right. Your "twin plate" would have worn out the same way in his car..

I havn't had any issues with my Action 6 puck setup. You might want to see if the action disks have a different thickness than the ACT discs. If there is a difference of only a couple mms, that would be the difference between slip, and grip.

i threw in my act ss dics and sander out the burns on my pp and it works well. I adjusted my clutch so it grabs low (not engaging while driving) I also turned the boost down to 10psi. I was out and hit second and couldnt tell if my tires are burning or its the clutch. Why cant i get the clutch to hold? am i doning something wrong with the adjustement?

it could be that your flywheel is warped. My clutchmasters flywheel was gone after about 10k miles and It ate away my RPS clutch within 5k miles. Now I gotta find out why my ACT XX PP and 6 puck clutch, plus ACT streetlite flywheel decided to slip after only 500 miles. If its a warranty issue I will probably just sell it after I get it replaced and buy an exedy carbon single.
Also the RPS Carbon Carbon is like 2500

was the flywheel it self warped or that plate that can be replaced?
