Default Ideas for some HIDS on a 98 silver accord?

Im thinking about getting some HIDs for my silver 98 honda accord and was wondering if anyone has some ideas of what I should do and if it'll be worth it. If anyone has some pics of that style car with some HIDs that would be great. Thanks for your help in advance!

Do you plan on using the factory headlight housings? I have some pics I can post with 8500K hids but they're in Double projector housings.

BTW, got my conversion kit from HID-lights.com

I personally think a silver accord, with blacked out factory housings and possibly eyelids, looks so dam aggressive and clean. just my 2 cents. I can't find any of my night pics here at work, but I'll try to get some later today if u'd like. The 8500K is considered Ultra White. Second only to Diamond white (10,000 I believe) Anywho, here's the pics...

HID-lights.com also has sample pics for each of the light temperatures. Choose HID Conversion kits, and take a look.

Check this out, the foglamp projectors next to the low beams still have OEM halogens in them. I can take some pics tonight when it's dark to compare them side by side. Sound cool?

Halo 2 projector is nice, 8500K? I think thats bluish white. But if you have the money definitely retro fit and oem HID .

Like i said, it's not quite the perfect "Diamond White." The only time it looks blueish is from very far away when the light is distorted by a mirage, or at an extreme angle. A camera has a hard time picking up the correct colors for something as intense as that light anyway. I'll use a filter on my camera tonight when I'm taking some shots, that should give you a true representation of the colors.

I picked up the housings from a local tuner shop for $180 a few years back. The eyelids were $10 minus paint, and the HID's were... $245 i think. Everything was plug and play, no cutting, 20min install, intelligent ignition ballasts, and it has a 1 year warranty. Some advice I can give you though, is if you decide to use any aftermarket housings, be sure to go with a reputable brand like TYC. This will help you avoid leaking and very irregular beam pattern associated with cheaper brands.

Here's what was included...

well right now i have pretty much have the same thing as you, 00 sliver 4door. i'm working on my retro. it'll be done in a few days. cuz i'm aiming the lights to night and sealing it tomorrow, well atlest thats the plan. my set up is E46 bosch singles, with Gen 4 hella ballast, and 4001k bulbs. and made my own wiring harness. its coming out good. if you thinkyou can do it, do it. its not that hard. i did mine a different way so its kinda hard. but if you do it like everyone else on HIDplanet, it should be easy, the tie rod and nuts, or fab up a plate. look for accord6 post, he has a 5gen accord and its pretty nice. my way i get to keep my stock leveling but i almost didn't clear the front part on the lenes, lucky though. if you want i can many get some pics up by the end of the week. o yah and this is with stock headlamps no TYC ones.

yeah when you're finished, post some pics of you car. my roommate was showing me the HIDplanet website and what i might want to consider going with. trying to figure out what i want and the brightness. but either way it seems you cant go wrong with HIDs.

well.... it all depends on what you want. if you want output, its the S2ks or TSX, if you can get the LS430 to work, you'll have the best output HID. for color is the S2k and TSX. if your short on cash, its the bosch or valeos for you. for the best price and output/color its the TSX, pretty much the same as S2k put a little less output but alot cheaper. the bosch has alot better output then the valeos, unless you get it from HIDplanet cuz they give you the Ecoded sheilds, which are euro sheilds, better. the USDM sheilds don't give you as much color or sharp cut off, but i still like mine. Valeos are good for a sharp cut off and lots of color, but not as good of output. just some info for you.

Here's the pics!

First off, I took the first three pictures with the same aperature and shutter speed, meaning they all took in the exact same amount of light.

1. Regular fog lights. These are 35 watt H3 OEM Halogen bulbs that you could find at any auto parts store.

2. Just the 8000K HID conversions. Same H3 style bulb, consuming the same 35 watts.

3. Both HID and Halogen bulbs.

Here's the light dispersion of the Halogens...

Light dispersion of the HIDs...

Here's the beam pattern of the Halogens...

HID pattern...

Last of all, here's a video of the HIDs turning on. The bulbs are already warm so they are at full brightness.

My low beam projectors that the HIDs are in don't do them justice. The dispersion is perfect, but the cut-off is obviously a little off. Hope this helps!

What exactly is it that you're wanting to improve? Performance? Handling? Interior? Exterior?

Here's some shots that some people say helps them with ideas...

best place to get it from is HIDplanet, the best deals around, for the boschs when they have the summer sales. but when it goes back to normal price, just buy it on the forums or ebay.i did mine for around 450 total, thats with another set of OEM lamps, cuz i need the car still, and i wanted to drive at night.
