Default H22 VS B18c1

Got a open question for ya, I have a 95 hatch cx Which motor would u go with, H22
or GSR. Keep in mind its my daily driver and i want to stay allmotor. Your opinions would help my choice. (pros,cons) list your setups if simular, hp/tq, quartermile times.

a built b series will cost about the same as a h22 swap. Id say go with the b-series and keep your ac/ps.

cant go wrong with any of them...but id go b18c1, seems like the parts are everywhere, easier swap that u can probably do yourself

my h22 made 207 and 156 with IHE. Come close with a b-series and ill be impressed. = )

To tell you the truth i'm leanin toward the h22. A few friends of mine have gsr's and it seems u gotta do mad work to get them movin, not to mention the dead lowend tq. It seems it boggs til vtec. I've been in a couple h22d civics and it tears *** allday lowend plus nutty topend.

not even close bud, the h22 has alot more potential stock for stock, mod for mod the h22 will be faster

i seriously doubt that!!!
if we use prices off of hmotorsonline as an example......the B18C motor costs $3149 and the H22 costs $2199 for complete swaps respectively.the only difference is that for the H22 to go into a 95 hatch....you have to source axles,shift-linkage,plus some other minor details....but it still comes out to be cheaper than $3149.most shops will charge around $400 for labor to swap a motor anyways....regardless of the motor.
stock motor vs. stock motor.....H22 spanks the B18C hands down!!!
now....as far as afermarket support......things tend to lean more towards the B18C as far as popularity of aftermarket companies.there's way more support behind the B-series motors compared to the H22....and parts can be sourced cheaper.
a built/sleeved 2.0 liter all-motor B18C is a hell of a force to be reckoned with when built correctly and would probably walk all over a built all-motor H22 due to having a better transmission(as far as gearing) and incredible tuning.I love H22's.....but if i had the money to build an all-motor car B18C vs. H22.....and when i say build, i mean BUILD.....i would probably go B18C.now as far as building a reliable street-car with alot of bang for your buck.....the answer is H22.

yes and if you buy the motor from H-motors you dont have to sourse any of that crap you said it all comes with the swap or can be purchased (axles and mounts) from them via hasport for a sizeable discount.
