you need to put that motor in that white hatch back there
What the owner of that wgite hatch that's geting the B16A for the ITR motor doesn't realize is that an ITR motor really isn't all that bad for boost. Especially since the guy only wants to put a Jackson Racing supercharger on the B16A. He'd better get a 9lb. pulley if he wants to put down more whp than the JDM R swap he traded away. Even if he wanted a B16a instead, he should have done this:
SOLD the Type R swap for $4,500 (what he paid for it - JDM, needs axles, linkage, etc.) Or find a sucker to sell if for like $5,000.
Bought a B16A for like $2,500 for a JDM second-gen OBDII from a good website like Honda Motors Online or something
Hmmm...$2,000 in pocket to finish the swap and have some money to put towards boost? Would have been better, but it's awesome that blykins got a killer deal!
Does any of what I said make more sense to you guys if you were the guy with the Type R motor?

ITR isnt taht good for boosting, b16 is better, so were trading.)
So they are both the same when it comes to boost.
You got a good deal Brett!!!
That's where Juan is wrong, they both have the same compression ratios...

I think the same way though - you can boost the B18C5/B18C(R) just the same as long as it's tuned properly.
Oh Dragon - the engine is totally legit. I know the guy who had the motor originally and he bought it from Import Auot Salvage in N.C from Larry Jr. The motor sat in the guy's garage for over a year and was never installed, so it's totally legit and runs fine I'm sure.

The guy's just an idiot.
