RSX Weight FYI...
For those folks who were wondering about how much the RSX (Type S in this case) weighed, here's what mine was, with the following bits missing:
-Spare Tire
-Subwoofer
-Trunk Carpeting
-Spare tire cover
-Trunk cover
-All floor mats
(Basically all the stuff in the trunk that can easily be removed).
Other stuff:
-OEM Seats replaced by Sparco EVOs on fixed brackets (oem airbag seats are freaking heavy!)
-Replaced Header, intake, exhaust. Probably a wash here.
-Forged 17" 13 lb wheels with 225 Azenis. Again, probably a wash from the oem stuff since 225 Azenis are heavy.
-Coilover kit that might have saved a few lbs.
Total weight without driver = 2621lbs.
With a lighter exhaust and forged 16" wheels, a 25xx lb car is completely possible (with an 02-04). Note that this would all be legal for STS, if you so desire.
My guess was 2650, so I was decently surprised.

I know weight savings tend to be more reflective in tenths of a second, but do you notice anything different when driving the car? By taking so much weight out of the back end did the rear end raise up at all?
Thanks

Passenger seat is even heavier, especially when you remove the Bose stuff attached along with it, not to mention the extra springs and such it has on the bottom.
I'll try to weigh both before I put them back in the car.

luckily, i've never had to have them deploy, but they're side airbags. if you get hit on the side of the car, the airbags deploy out of the side of the seat and i guess are supposed to protect you from a side impact.

I meant he was approaching the stock weight. Considering the rsx has more luxuries and the itr is a hollow, stripped down integra it is nice to know the rsx can weigh about the same. I believe stock weight for the itr is 2600-2612lbs

Not legal for the autox class I wanted to run in, and not super-practical for daily driving.

Yes, you can. Figure another 35-40 lbs for the entire a/c stuff.
So a 2550lb (or less) STS prepped RSX-S is a definite possibility.
I just don't think 2500lbs is light enough for the class...
