Default 300whp stock LS motor - 15psi

Well...finally got some time to take my own car to the dyno and she didnt disappoint. I was hoping for 300hp at roughly 1 Bar of boost and I made it. Next weekend is Honda Day at Englishtown (Raceway Park) and hopefully I can take that and put down some good time.

I want to thank Jeff Evans (Boosted-Hybrid) for hooking me up with some dyno time and giving me some tips to boot. Great guy!

This run was done at just shy of 15psi of boost

Setup is:
Stock B18b Motor
Skunk2 Intake Manifold
Hondata IM Gasket
Gude Throttle Body (no idea on the diameter)
Might have cams...I unno...I havent pulled the valve cover at since I got the motor.
Inline Pro T3 Flanged Stainless Steel Manifold
Precision SC34 T3/T04E 57 trim Turbo
Tial 38mm wastegate (7psi spring)
DSM 450cc Injectors
JRC 30" x 6" x 2" FMIC
2.5 Aluminum Intercooler Piping
2.5" Revhard DP with 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust.
18" Resonator with Magnaflow 2.5" Muffler (this ****** is quiet)
My trusty Gus Mahon Home Made Boost Controller

I might be forgetting something....oh yeah, tuned by me on Crome!

Did a baseline run from just my measley street tune and laid down 283whp at 13.5 psi. 1.5 psi more and some slight fuel and timing adjustments and she's purring like a kitten.

Hey Chris, how's it going?

Nice numbers man

I'm still gathering up some stuff. Getting some suspension this month. Been a long hard road, but i figure this year, or next spring the LS should be boosted also.

Again congrats. Let us know how those track times turn out. Oh I'd like to take a ride in it sometime.

Are you running the stock map sensor? Also what CC injectors are you using?

Nice #s.

I run the motorola 2.5 bar MAP sensor and 450cc injectors

They are getting close to max duty cycle but Im not terribly concerned. At least this goes to show all those folks who dont believe you can make 300 on DSM 450s

Timing is about 22 degrees final. I had it as high as 26 but I wasnt making any more power..actually lost 5hp so I back it down and upped the boost from 13.5 to 15 and that brought it from 283 to over 300 that you see in that graph.

This isnt my daily driver but when she's out for the week she gets raped daily. Next week at the track will be 15psi no doubt.

Here's some shots from a month ago. Gotta love the sexy lines of the DA but she could use some TLC as well. Next year

And the token H-T shot...

I have a stock LS with a t03/t04 turbo .50ar, equal lenght manifold, 38mm tail wastegate (7 psi spring), 2.5 inch downpipe, 440cc injectors, hondata stage 2, walbro 255 fuel pump, msd 6 ignition, msd coil and cap, and i put down 210 whp on the dyno at 7 psi. i didnt want to push more boost because i didnt want to blow my motor, im wondering how much you think I can push and still stay reliable.
thanks.

Daily I wouldnt push more than 10psi but if you have a nice 2 stage boost controller or an AVCR or something that is easily switchable for when you NEED it (wink wink)...as long as you are tuned for it, you are golden.

And of course make sure you have more than a stock MAP sensor of course. I reall like the 2.5 Map and for the price, it can't be beat

Yeah, my injectors are close to being maxed out...for safety I could up the fuel pressure and adjust accordingly, but she seemed to be purring like a little kitten in heat on the dyno. She wanted more I tell you
