Default where to mount MSD box??

i just bought the MSD SCI ignition box and the MSD SS coil but i dont have a place to mount them. most of my engine bay is crowded from turbo plumbing. please help me on where to mount the box and coil? IS there any holes or gromits to run cables through the passanger side bulk head so i could mount the box under passanger side dash?

I would highly reccomend you don't put it in the engine bay. Mine was ~2 years old and it just randomly died one day. I would guess from the heat in the bay...

Mount it somewhere by the ECU.

I've said this a thousand times. There's a GIGANTIC hole behind the fuse box.

mount it in the garbage can because that is where they normally end up, soory but I have had one crap out and my buddy just had his crap out to. I have no faith in those things, good luck with yours though

Baha, so true. Not only do they break and cause problems in the rain, but they don't do **** except make 4 pretty sparks instead of one. I could see the difference with my clear dist. cap, but the performance was unnoticeable.

I put my digital one here, but was told it would cause RF issues with the ECU. Might be ok for the SCI.
If someone has their digital box mounted close to the ECU with no problems tell me, I liked where I had it mounted. (Never drove like this because the car is ripped apart)

Next to the ECU it will be hot, so I mount mine MSD box and MSD SS coil inside the engine bay next to the battery. It will have more room and it will get air to cool off.

When you can't start your car anymore, or when it turns off by itself and you see smoke come out of the engine bay...

I had a Digital 6 Plus crap out on me twice. (mounted next to the battery in the engine bay)
First time, it fried and smoke came out after I washed my car.
Second time, the Blaster SS coil went out.
Thinking about putting it back in, but not sure if it's a good idea. Plus you get better gas milage without it.

Currently mine is mounted to the battery tray, and that works nicely, but I would like to move it to free up some space. Thats why I was trying the idea of putting it in the car somewhere. Any one with any other ideas?
Oh yea, and I have had my Digi 6+ and Blaster SS coil for 2 years, and 0 problems. You guys protecting it properly?

How do you suggest protecting it?

I just mean keeping it out of contact with the elements, mine is mounted on my battery tray, and gets direct air flow. Helps keep it cooler, which may be why some of these guys boxes are going out.
