Just looking over my gearset last night waiting for my diff to come in..... on the stock countershaft, under the 1st gear, there is a small shim/spacer - I noticed that we did not put this spacer in when installing the 4.9 - should I take this thing back apart and put a spacer on it? I cant remember why i didnt the first time.

The parts list is the same for the ATS final - minus the 4.7 or course...

Iirc, that spacer you didn't use is for the 4.4 and usdm 1st.

Jdm 1st fits the 4.9 differently and doesn't use that usdm part.

You guys are burning my servers alive. I've noticed a major slow down over the past few weeks and I'm working on getting some new servers up and running.

Put it this way, I have a unix squid box right now that caches all the images, but it's still pushing some major traffic.

Not bad for not charging a single cent.

how hard is this install? I'd like to do a 4.7 fd when i do my clutch/flywheel install here soon. I've never really opened up a tranny or even cared too. Figured it's all precision stuff that's better if i leave it alone, but if it's not that hard and can be done w/o some expensive *** tools, then i'd be willing to give it a shot.
