Default EG Rear Disc Brake Swap

I have a 92 VX and I'm interested in getting a rear disc brake setup. I know there are various cars to get them from (Civic, Integra, Del Sol) but I would like to be able to keep using my stock 13" VX wheels. I know that the Integra's rear discs are too big to use 13" wheels with, but I'm not sure about the others. I know the 92-95 EX coupe and Si hatch had rear discs and a few Del Sol models, so which of these, if any would work for me?

Sorry I can't really answer your Q, but I have a question in addition to this...

I have a '92 CX. If I do the GSR rear brake conversion will it be overkill for the rear brakes compared to the fronts??

I appreciate the links but that's not answering my question. What I need to know is if any of those models will allow the use of my stock 13" VX wheels. All of the rear disc cars have 14" or 15" wheels from the factory and the rotors are bigger. I need to make sure that the model I get will allow me to use 13" wheels. If I did get the brake swap but the rotors were too big, would it be possible to downsize to the same rotors that my car uses on the front or are they not interchangeable in that way?

VTEC Villan ...

YES, you can use 13" rims on the REAR disk(9.5") equipped Civics ... Note the rear disks are the same as used on the Integra's, It is the FRONT brakes that are different. You will need the trailling arms, rotors, calipers, and parking brake cables from you donor car.

94-00 Integra, 92-95 ABS equiped Civic/delSol, and 96-00 Civic coupes/sedans with Auto trannies, have the same front brakes (10.2")

The remainder of the Civic's typically have 9.5" front rotors ... but there is a couple of exceptions

ToddC....

Using a 10.2" front rotor with rear disks is fine ... It is the same setup that Integra's use. However you may want to change the Master cylinder to the larger Integra one (from 13/16 to 15/16).

Note: If you swap in the stock front brakes from an Integra/ABS (10.2") then you will have to upgrade to 14" rims.

Cheers

The integra rear brakes do fit inside most 13 inch rims. I know we have some stock civic dx 13" steelies that fit over the rear brakes on a gsr. Same goes for si rear brakes. When you upgrade the front rotors you will have to go to a 14 inch wheel.

VTECVillian: I have a 95 EX setup on the rear of my VX. The 13 inch wheels fit fine with no rubbing.
