Well I finnaly got around to the day. After 8 months since the start of the build up to the dyno day I've had a ton of fun and learned so much. It was not too hot, but not a cool day either. I was heat soaked for sure and twice we spent 10 minutes leaving a fan on the engine. I gained 10whp on the last run by not changing anything. This might explain the high PSI for power and the delay in peak torque. Also, you may note the AF's going down towards the end on the RPM range. I let this be because on the street it ended up perfect (11.4-11.8) with the extra load. If you have any questions or comments please post away, I have no secrects here .

93 octane:
224.8whp and 196.1 ft/lbs on 9 PSI - 21 degrees timing (low boost)
303.1whp and 260.0 ft/lbs on 16PSI - 16 degrees timing (high boost)

Edit: 328whp and 269ft/lbs on a different dyno and cooler air, but <FONT SIZE="2">NO</FONT> changes to the tune

T3/T04e 57 trim .63/.60
Neukin ramhorn style manifold
2.5" charge piping
TurboXS RFL BOV
Johnnyracecar.com old school 6" IC
3" full exhaust only a 24" resonator no cat no muffler (stilled passed emissions)
3bar map sensor
DSM 450cc w/ walbro 255HP
GReddy Profec A with high/low boost switch on the shift **** for immediate pleasure

Good numbers for only 16psi on reasonably sized turbo, not ridiculously big or anything.

 

Thats how my teg looked...ver hott..and very nice numbers.

what kind of turbo and can you give me more specs on it becuase i have a garrett t3 with a .60 comp. .63 on turbine and just whanted to compare.

low boost in second then high boost in third...you can see the torque steer and slight wheel spin...AT 80MPH!!!

Thanks! yeah 3bar and Uberdata have ZERO problems. I don't like seeing posts saying 3 bar is difficult or hard to setup. My map scalars were completley setup on my own and from 2 PSI all the way to 16 PSi I have a resolution of 3PSI so the tuning was relatily easy with no "big jumps". If anyone needs help I'll be posting in the Uberdata forums on how to adjust map scalars

yeah I was hoping my BOV wouldn't pop off because of the JB weld....thank god it didn't though I didn't have any zip ties to fix it . For people that don't know he fixed his BOV failure with zip ties...lol

Yeah I could do a couple more PSI, but not with the engine heat-soaked like that. It wasn't horrible, but enough for me never to do that again. It's not a set number when, but PSI wise I feel comfortable up to 18, but we've seen people do 20PSI on pump gas. I don't think I want to extract anymore power until I build the motor up.

Home depot pipe insulation. It helps out on a non-heat soaked engine, but when it's hot like it was that day the insulation actually holds the heat when I try to cool it off. Otherwise daily driving it helps a little as I witnessed through datalogging
