Cometic or Inline pro???
Does cometic make a headgasket thatll drop compression on a b18c1 down to 9:1 like an Inline pro headgasket? Price-wise, which one would be cheaper? Ill be running a stock block for this year & built next year, so dont wanna drop the $300 for the inline pro headgasket, & throwit out next year.
What do you guys suggest doing? thanks.

Id get the inline pro headgasket...it has been proven and proven again.....u get what u pay for
300 for a thick headgasket is a lil too much if you ask me.
I do not run it because I am going the non vtec route.....no they do not sponsor me but give me a fair deal on stuff...I just know the guys up there and see how hard they work and I believe there products are top quality...and I have never heard abut that other head gasket

where can I find a cometic head gakset? Can I use copper without o-ringing? I'd like to raise my compression a little, I think 9.0:1 is a little low. I want it around 9.5:1 or something like that...
Cometic gaskets are made of a tri layer steel - just like stock, just as durable as stock (which is pretty damn durable). You can buy them at http://www.raceeng.com
raceeng.com has most of hte gaskets in stock .Just call up there. The cometic gasket is the way to go if you go with larger bore sizes etc. But if you plan to stay stock bore stick with the factory gasket. Theres no need to change anything just get the correct pistons to match your compression you want to run. It hella of lot better than running just headgasket to lower the compression.

ok b18bturbo, what you are saying is that i dont really need to worry about getting a headgaskett for lower compression if i plan to run stock internals at this time (on an ls 2k)?
