Default How about some "REAL" racing...

Last Sunday, we figured we put our skills to the test...

and raced on XBox Live and PS2's linked up.

Setup consists of:
4 - 27" TVs (sourced for $50 to $200)
2 - Xboxes ($150/ea)
2 - PS2s ($150/ea)
1 - PS2 network adapter ($40)
1 - dlink switch ($20)
lots of cat5 cable ($$)
1 - x-over cable for the PS2s ($10)
2 - Logitech PS2 steering wheels ($150/ea)
1 - NASCAR Xbox steering wheel ($50)
1 - MadCatz steering wheel ($50)
3 - "Steering columns" made of wood ($200 in wood and hardware)
1 - "Steering column" made of metal ($?? in old rollcage tubing)
2 - old CRX seats (free)
1 - Futon.
1 - homemade table for two of the TVs (included in the wood/hardware cost)
Several - awesome racing experiences that hold us over until we can race our real cars

or

god, we're geeks, but, what better way to kill some time than to go race some video game cars?

Have you guys considered M/C braces for the brake pedals? Seems like your firewall might have some flex in it.

My GT4 setup has the pedal assembly built into a brace of sorts to keep it from moving around, the sliding around was driving me crazy.

I used the TV stand as a brace for the pedals, which in turn help brace the "third leg" of my setup.

I am trying to convince my brother so he can convince my sis in law to throw money into a gaming pc. Playing racing games on a 42" Sony XBR960 with my Logitech momo racing wheel... *love*

It'll never happen...

I'm working on a setup as well. Except I'm looking for a seat out of a civic/del sol and have some sort of sheet that covers from the seat to the screen. This would be done on my retired 55" screen. I'll post pics when it's all set up.
