Default Need some input nitrous people !!!

I currently would like to build a nitrous set up> i currently have a ls/vtec that i would like to build the block for nitrous. I was wondering if anybody here has done this before and what kind of internals are suggested i know sleeves are manditory but what pistons ,rods... and what compression i would like to put about a 200 shot on this set up if not more so all help and input would be great and it will be a direct port set up and i would also like to use a step n2o set up like 50shot out of the hole 100shot second 150 3rd and 200 or more 4th thanks

Well from what youre describing...youll be running a 500 shot...which might be a little much for your setup . When most people talk about their steps they say what each one is adding. So if you spray a 50 out of the hole then the second step was 100...youd have a 150 shot. It compounds. Thats the way all the guys around here say it anyway. Good luck on your build

This was my origional plan untill i decided to go turbo ;-).

B16 Block:

Darton block 84mm
Cp 11:1 pistons
Eagle Rods
B16 Crank

GSR Tranny w/LSD

B16 Head:

Portflow valvetrain
GSR cams
PNP
3 angle valve job

N2o:
Direct port 100 shot. 1-2-3-4 Gear
Single fogger 75 shot DRY. 3-4 Gear

A friend has a similar set-up in a 98 coupe that went 11.5 @ 120

So combined 175 on 3rd and 4th? or just the 75? i would say it could take the 175. The rods will most likely go before anything else.

I am going to run 100 direct port with 12.5:1

Make sure you video tape the first run at the track.

I don't know, seems like alot. It might hold together at 225 but I doubt it. Video tape it anyhow, I wanna see what the car will do with 200+.

I would say some pewter rods and 10.5:1 - 11:1 CP pistons on the stock crank should hold. Some good sleeves of coarse and some good valves.

I hope it would make over 400 with a 370 shot.

i would imagine cubish is spraying about as much nitrous as that motor can physically intake, or getting close at least. that amount of nitrous is surely displacing the amount of air the motor can naturally ingest.

never the less, thats good stuff right dur

yeah with the 11.1@125 it was only on like a 160-170. never got to run it with both stages...was close to 300 with both stages. i dont think the motor can take anymore. went through a few head gaskets, but it could also be my compression is close to 14:1.

about the sleeves my current block has darton mid's 84mm. my old set up was stock sleeves with just pistons and rods on a 130 shot and went 11.5@119 on 22" slicks, im now running 24"s
