What is difference between d15b1 and d15b2 ????
Both engines seem the same to me, so enlighten me. The d15b7 I think is from 92-95 correct? But I just dont know what the difference is between the d15b1 and b2 is from 88-91 years.
The Throtle bodies are the big difference, the top Butterfly, opens 1/2 way on the b1, Also the spacer plate, bettween the manifold and throtle body has a smaller diameter, on the b1. So basically there identical except the B1 let less air in. I had pics back in the day, befor i finally converted to Mpfi and realized DPFI was garbage lol.
Cool, thanks for the info, Menace! I for the life of me couldnt see a difference in them. But I threw away the DPFI, so no wonder! I did an Si conversion on my friends DX with the b2 motor. Its strange, but the d15 I did the si conversion on actually runs better and is faster than my d16! Must be the lower rotating mass of the d15 (?)

Wrong . . .
I have a 88 hatch with a D15B1 and it has 16 valves and it does run better than everyone elses D16a6's That I have met and raced.
I have :
- Si Cam
- Si Trans
- Si ECU
- Si Intake Manifold
- Si Stock Header with internal porting
- Shifter Buchings
- H&R Springs
- No cat w/ stock muffler

Not exactly. The 8 valve model was the CRX Hf, the d15b6. The d15b1 and d15b2 are 16 valve. The d15b1 was in the STD civic (88-89?) and the d15b2 was in the dx (88-91, certain on that).
