If anyone is planning on being there JUST to do the Exhibition, you MUST FILL OUT AN HPDE form.

You must print on the top " HONDA EXHIBITION ONLY". There is no charge for this exhibition group. but you will need the following:

1, Car teched (you can pull down the tech form at http://www.nasaproracing.com).
2. You MUST stop at registration to get your special wristband. We do not allow cars on track without them.
3, And send me the entry so I know to expect you!

I "Curpier" will NOT be attending the NASA event. I'm away on business. Will be at the SCCA school in March at Summit & at Skip Barber race school in early April

Well, you'll probably bump into Grumpy and I at tech at the SCCA SP school.

 

As I understood it from talking to Cobetto and Giles, I will be in the group too...I just sent in my registration today.

is this HPDE rules for the Exhibition?
and am I still correct in assuming I will need to be signed off by my instructor or have them ride with me to go out?

 

What is the exhibition? Can someone post a link to the post if it was discussed allready?

I would "like" to run in the exhibition... but will not be there for the HPDE.

Let's just make sure we all remember that in many racecars, a passing signal over the roof of the car is not possible thanks to window nets and/or seating position. This means that most passing signals have to be given from inside the car, where corner workers will most likely not see them.

P.S. To the intermediate drivers in H1 and H2 cars, please be kind to the H5 cars that can't touch you on the straights. Thanks.

Maybe a lap behind the pace car two by two?????

Maybe a <U> SIMULATED </U> race start????

Then run some laps under HPDE rules.

We won't be doing a race start. There are intermediate hpde folks involved and I'm not going down that road, but thanks for offering Grumpy.

Remember that this is an exhibition. No racing. Intermediate HPDE rules and passing zones.

I hope I'm not the only one noticing that we have 13 Honda Challenge racers coming to an event where no Honda Challenge race is scheduled (cough GRUMPY cough cough)

Yes and no.

Several folks weren't planning for this to be a race weekend and either won't be there or have cars that aren't ready to race yet (Shultz, Rosen, etc.)
There are also several folks that are in the comp school that would have to be excluded from the race because they aren't licensed yet.

So we'll just have fun in the exhibition and instructor groups next weekend, and show up to CMP in April with the biggest race grid of the weekend .
