Default steam cleaning an engine...???

does anyone have some advice they can give me as to inform me if steam cleaning your motor is a good idea? i would love to clean my motor, you know, all the nicks-and-crannies. but i don't want to just go ahead and flood my motor or something stupid.

has anyone had a bad experience?

any recommendations?

Definatly not a good idea, had a friend who steam cleaned which leaked into Electronics, car wouldn't start.

I'v cleaned the muck out with some parafin and petrol, works well.

good, i'm so glad i didn't steam my engine. i knew i could count on you guys for some assistance.

so the things you guys had mentioned...will that also clean the engine block itself? i'm talking about that salty, white dust that just won't wipe off. it looks like you've parked your car on the beach for a month or two. cause thats what i'm having issues with. it's almost like i have to scrap it off.
