Ok I'm breaking down and buying tires......finally
I'm torn between the Brigstone S-03s and the BFG G-Force T/A KD

I think the S-03 may chunk out like the RE-010s. Anybody have any experiance with the BFGs?

If you have that much money lying around, I would recommend PZero Assimetricos. Have 225/45/16s on mine and they are incredible. (The Rossos are also a possibility, but the Assimetricos have slightly better dry traction. The dry traction of the Assimetricos is more than adequate though.)

I hear the G Forces are one of the best street tires this side of an R compound. They don't make 'em in a good 16" size so I am going with the Azenis.

since the S03 in 195/50/15 is onsale at tirerack you should get there. i have the KD's in 205/50/15 they are chunking slight but it was because the tire did not get a heat cycle and right away it was abused on a skidpad, street of willows (a tight course that's very hard on tires), and slalom right away... and pretty hot track day too (willow springs is in the desert).
with proper heat cycle I think they will be fine. the chunking is not really that bad anyway.
KD's are getting rave reviews but so are the S03's, but looks like S03 has better wet performance. can't go wrong with neither, and with the sale on S03 you should just get that.

The RE010 is a terrific tire! Sticks great, on dry pavement and on wet pavement! Handles great! It's not inexpensive, but great products rarely are.

The treadwear for the S03 is 220, versus 200 for the KD and Azeni. So in theory the KD and Azeni should wear a bit faster.
Hey Jerold,
We have never tried the S-03, so I can't comment on it, but we have tried the new BfG KD tire (205/50/15) you show at the G-Games that Sport Compact Car & BfGoodrich organized.
It was one of the stickest street tires we have tried. I would recommend it highly, except that our front tires started chunking up, especially after we took it out to Willow Springs big track in August when it was over 110 degrees. That was after being abused in the G-Games, as Frank said above.
As a street tire, it was great. For the track, if you shave it and heat cycle it properly, you won't have the chunking problem and it would be a great track tire that is almost as good as the 032R. My son was turning pretty fast times at Willow Springs Big Track without even trying to push. That was despite the heat and stock brake pads. Thus, I would recommend the BfGoodrich g-Force T/A KD too anybody.

So I don't see anything bad about the BFG ('cept the wet traction which I don't care about), so I think I will go that direction....if I can actually get some. TireRack shows them as back ordered.
Thanks guys & gals,
Jerold

I have driven Azenis 205/50/15 and KD 205/50/15 on the track. I would have to pick Azenis between the two. They're pretty close though. So the decisions is primarily based on price.
I have not drive S03, anyone is SFBay w/S03 wanna offer me their car for a spin ;-)
Azenis tread pattern also looks much more trendy.
RM: what's Jr. turning at Big Willows with the KD's?
I should mention that after the G-Games, only the fronts were chunking. In theory it should've gotten heat cycled after the event. I've rotate the rears to the front and did Sears Point and Buttonwillow, the two that used to be in the rear chunks again... The Azenis I had despite being used hard for long hours at Big Track, and then Street of Willows hard never chunked.

Sorry, but he didn't ask "Should I get a S03 or a RE010. The S03 is a better tire in my opinion that the RE010 is anyday of the week, even on rainy ones.
He didn't ask "Should I get a S03 or a RE010" - therefore it's not okay for ME to respond with an opinion on the RE010 - but it's okay for YOU to respond with an opinion on the RE010.

Dave, I can see why you're always getting into flame wars around here...

So what you're saying is:
