Default Anyway to fix the tach?

Since the tach is off... is there anyway to fix it? I know I'm shooting in the dark here... Just wondering.

yes, there is.

before I put on the yellow needles, w/ the help of robert and a OBD scan tool we were able to see the exact rpm.

1. remove stock needle
2. rev car to exactly 1500 rpm according to scan tool
3. pop tart in the needle
4. rev car to 3500 rpm according to tach and check scan tool for accuracy
*5. repeat 1~4 if necessary

yshi - whose vtec kicks in at exactly 5700 and hits rev limiter at exactly 8700 rpm now

Why doesn't your rev limiter kick in at 8500?

For years i was under the impression that it comes on at 8500. It even says that on my brochure. Why should it be 8700?

Be very careful... there is a good chance of bending or breaking the needle. Then, you're fugged.

Anyone know where I can borrow a OBD scan tool? The only place I know of is go back to my old high school auto class and use my teachers.
