Default Skunk2 Intake Manifold Idle Problems!

OK, I am sure this is a common problem.. Here is what i got though!....

98 Base Lude. - Skunk2 intake manifold.

Ever since i installed that biotch, I have had nothing but nightmares trying to get that thing to idle right. The car revs up and down between 1400 - 2500 rpm when it is cold and jumps between 1000-1500 when warm. I talked to Skunk's tech support and they claimed it was a vaccuum leak. I took it to one mechanic and he said he could fix it and tried to do so by taking my stop screw and adjusting my throttle cable...didn't work! Fianlly took it to another mechanic and the first thing he asked was if i still had the stock manifold. He knew it wasn't a vaccum leak he just said that it was a common problem with relocation of the IACV. Anyone have any ideas on what i can do to fix my problem I am having? I would greatly appreciate it!!! Thanks in advance

eaither the IACV relocation gaskets are in the wrong position or your fast idle thermo valve needs to be opened all the way.

Does the idle go back to normal after the car is warm ? or always funky ?

It is always reving up and down now.

I know the gaskets are correct b/c i checked on those.

Is this problem common amongst the S2M?

I have checked for that...if i take off one of the hoses while it is running, the idle gets alot worse.

Is the fast idle screw the one located at the top left hand corner looking down the throttle body?

Also, i have unplugged the MAP sensor witht he car running and it then idles fine. PLug it back in and restart the car...it goes back to the funky idle. Is there a reason for this?

as far as the map sensor, thats just a freak thing, you would throw a CEL for it if it was bad....

you really oughta check the fast idle valve, it could be messed up....do you still have the coolant flowing the same direction as it used to, that could mess things up.....

Yea, the fluid flow is all hooked up correctly. I think I am ruling on the fact that i may not have scraped off the old gasket from the head.

Do i need to get a new gasket from Skunk2 or can i get just a standard one from autozone or Honda?

If that does not fix it, i am reverting back to stock and chalk it up to experience.
