My personal impression on Zeal B2's
i recently installed my B2's into my 00 GSR' and since some ht.com members asked me to do a little run down on how they felt, ill do so. remember, this is a GSR, not a ITR..
first of all, when i opened the box i was pretty much drooling over how well the quality was. i bought the street type springs(10kF 6kR) since this is a daily driven car.
install was simple, everything fitted perfect, no questions asked.
now, when i installed them and took it for a short drive around the block on stock height and the damper set on level 1. smooth ride, ALMOST like stock. bumps are felt a little harder but, nothing big. Turns were nice and smooth..body roll was still there but much improved over stock struts.
the PVS(piston valve shock) technology is very convient for daily driven/autox cars, since all you have to do is pop the hoood and trunk to adjust. turning up the damper is really felt with each level. cranking up the dial stiffens up compression and rebound tremendously and is felt everytime the level is increased. IMHO level 4 is where the street driving just gets annoying.
turning the dial to 6 made the sus. stiff as rock. body roll? whats that? its as if you feel every little thing on the road, can't really describe it except that your car hugs the road, period.
i drive this car daily and run the dial on 2. i've had them on for about a week and love them. i have not personally tried other suspension set ups so i can't really compare them to other brand's or set ups.
i plan on tracking the car at local autox's to see how that goes.
if anyone else has something to add, please do so. i have not takin this set up to its full-potential so a summary of how it holds up in the "twisties" is not here yet..
i also got a cool ZEAL sticker
