put some new wheels on and painted the old ones
finished painting my wheels today
earlier this week i put the new wheels on instead of studying for exams. full pics at http://penpen.ca/images/newshoes/
back to sleep for typie
yesterday after the exam, i decided to prep the wheels. instead of studying for the next exam today, i finished it
the before:
i've never used aircraft stripper, but i'm assuming it's better than this stuff, which kinda sucked.
eating paint
scrape the paint off, with this and steel wool. use gloves!
hrm... well that sucked.
much sanding ensued, until i gave up. 80 + 180 grit sandpaper used. cleaned with acetone.
2 coats of primer
2 coats of pink
1 coat high temp engine enamel clear coat (may do another later)
next: gonna go pick up my RA1s and mount them on here. will bitch at the service guys not to scrape the fresh paint when they do so i'm very pleased with the outcome!!! for about 50 bucks cad (20 bucks for the one can of custom mixed paint) this was well worth it. can't wait to hit up the track with these bad boys on

since you're a girl ITR owner, i think you can get away nicely with hot pink shoes...kinda like a trademark should be sweet with that beautiful full red interior.

My GF is gonna love this when I show it to her. Shes gonna say "thats hot!" Make sure to post pictures when you get them on the car. Those DC5 rims look hot too.
