Da Cone = Owned.....Cam Gear slippage....Not for the faint at heart...
Well I wasn't there for that ownage of the Cones new ride, but when I got a call that the cones newly built motor with a new cam gear(yes cam gear) slipped on the dyno destroying what would have been a pretty beasty motor when tuned, making the list of issues for Andrew as of late go up...Andrew just picked up a 96spec JDM ITR motor and it's being installed this weekend...Too bad, I really would have liked to have seen what this motor would have made....Here are the pics, if you have little children in the room, parental discretion is advised...
holy hell. That head is now scrap aluminum. jesus man. Ive seen some pretty hairy damage ( some kid going 120 on the freeway in his R when the timing belt snapped) and this is up there with that one.

Christ! I thought my block was bad. That sucks, horribly. Sorry man.
I would like to recommend ST Corsa cam gears. http://www.stcorsa.com/product...e.htm
Check out the large pictures for non-slipping PATENTED goodness
#122 has a set of these and I feel confident in them on a turbo application.
