I recently (4 months ago) had my clutch changed.. I went with an Exedy Organic.. While the shop was changing the clutch, they also said i needed new axles. So, i went ahead and got some axles from them too.

After everything was installed, i broke the clutch in for the first 1000 miles. After that period, i started to get on the gas a little more. I noticed that the car would shake at lower rpms upon acceleration. From 2-4300rpm the car would shake some, but after that point it would smooth out. It does it in pretty much every gear as long as im in that RPM range.

Forward to today when the shaking has seemed to gotten worse all of the sudden. Now it shakes not only when i accelerate, but when i downshift too. As the clutch engages it starts to shake, and shakes as it slows down. The shaking as i accelerate has gotten more violent. I also tried to kind of "launch" the car and it shook really violently, mad wheel hop.. Please help me out.. i need this fixed by this weekend.. thanks guys

 

most likely its your axle. did you get a reman. one from like autozone or so? sometimes those could be defective as well.

when you driving and you throw it in neutral, the vibration stops right?

in my case, 1st you really couldnt notice, but once you get it in 2nd and start to accelerate, the vibrations start to occur. usually 2nd and 3rd gear is when it shakes violently.

 

The axles i got i believe were reman... I never saw them since I had the clutch replaced at Autolink. So i was unsure of the brand. Your symptoms are pretty much the same as mine.

could be a wheel bearing? i also second the axles. my cv boot leaked grease and it eventually had the same problems as you're describing. when cruising it feels smooth and fine, but when accelerating it feels like a very strong pulsation.

 

take it back to the shop that put it in, and see whats up

 

i agree take it back and let them look at it, i think motor mounts too.

 

i had that problem and took it to the shop. They replaced my axels with better more expensive ones. no idea wat brand sry. but since then there hasnt been any jerking

 

so all signs point to axles? chances of both of them going bad?

 

well no. that was just my problem and since they have been replaced there hasnt been any sounds. but that doesnt mean its ur problem. it could be a number ov things...
