Well, it took me long enough, but here are pics of the rollbar I got from JoeSTypeS. Bolt-in 4-point with offset harness bar (I'm a tall guy, and there is PLENTY of room with this, passenger side as well). My impression of the bar: AWESOME. Nice big mounting plates, nice welds, backing plates fit up perfectly and everything fits great in the car.
My impression of Joe: Also AWESOME.
Great guy and great customer service. If you need a rollbar (or a header for that matter
) this is the guy to come to. I much prefer it over the Autopower 4-point based on quality alone. Alright, enough talking, here it is:

That's a size 12 shoe for size comparison

And one obligatory bling shot:

I'm at work so i can't look at GCR's. Is everything going to be kosher with that diagonal in the main hoop? Like if you decided to convert that into a cage down the line, for racing?

I'm not entirely sure. It's a very different design than any of the other bars I've seen, and I've been told it's fine as far as general safety is concerned, and I feel safe with it. Concerning various organization legality for competition...I just don't know. However, if you wanted a cage, I know Joe could make you one to the rules. He may also be able to throw in a differently designed diagonal by request, but you'd have to ask him that.
glad you're happy with it. Thanks for finally taking the pics

Adam's bar was done a bit different than is the regular "style"...Adam made it very clear A LOT of times
that he's not short like me and wanted to be extra sure shaq could drive the car w/ the roll bar in it. So Jim off-set the harness bar, and to add a bit of uniqueness he form fit the X-bar to it. I was assured by Jim (the fab master) that everthing was kosher w/ the design. If Adam ever had any problems I'd happily replace his bar w/ mine or another one. I'm not an expert in roll bar design or fabrication, I'm just trying to help a local shop get into a new market (they focus mainly on Pro-mod drag cars), but like I said, if Adam feels there's a problem or something he's not happy with I'll replace the bar.
The powder coating killed the leetness of the welds though
As for customer service, I just try to keep everyone happy. A lot of times stuff doesn't go out when I'd like it to, and things get put on the back burner when they shouldn't. This was the case w/ the roll-bar so I did what anyone would do (I hope) to keep Adam happy.
PS - Those are some BLING BLING seats adam

Looks like the main hoop could have been a bit closer to the roof and the bends in the diagonal will certainly increase its likely hood to continue to bend in a upside downer, other wise the tig job and base plates look good.

I actually like it that low, it doesn't interfere with the overhead light like my old Kirk bar did. Beyond that, it's high enough that there's still plenty of space between the top of my head/helmet that I'm not concerned with it, even with the Del Sol seats in.

This is very true, I think one of my pics kind of shows that. Excellent fit along the door sill. And there's the ruling on the diagonal, not legal for competition then I guess.

I think that roll bar looks great.
Who makes it? Truerace? I googled them but came up with nada, zip... zilch. I'd like to put them up on http://www.safedrives.com.
sscguy, for love of your scull please buy some real padding. That pipe insulation stuff you have on there is close to worthless. It looks a feels fluffy and soft but tests have proven that it is just not safe.
As you can imagine, we at Safe Drives LLC did alot research to make sure that we were selling the best roll bar padding available. We found out that one company, BSCI, had done alot of research and development in this area. In fact the owners at BSCI are responsible for the push for the new padding certifications and standards from the FIA and SFI.
Also, the BSCI roll bar padding that we sell at Safe Drives LLC (www.safedrives.com) carries the same Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard Certification (FMVSS 206.u) for head impact safety padding that is required in any new car.
Check out the SFI and FIA rated padding at our website http://www.safedrives.com/products.asp?cat=72
I really don't care who you get your pad from but please buy some BSCI pad.

Since the main hoop diagonal IS NOT in the plane of the main hoop, its chances of passing SCCA or NASA tech are doubtful, should you decide to make it a cage and go racing..

Yeah, I plan on putting the correct padding in there, I was just rushed for getting ANYTHING in there for the track event I was zipping off to. Jim, just out of curiousity, what is the exact rule on the diagonal for competition? This one WILL NOT be modified for it, as the car is just a DE one, but it'd be good to know for the future.

I just put some of that BSCI FIA rollbar padding in my car and it is very impressive - but it does not easily bend like many people say...

Yeah, this alone deters me from considering this. Im actually planning on ordering an Autopower in a week or two.

i wouldn't go that far, i wouldn't ever put an autopower in my car.
Just tell joe how you want it done and he will, he did mine custom and at no extra charge

If he could do the cross-bar, and harness-bar separate, or the cross-bar one solid straight peice then I might consider buying from him. Also there looks to be a lot of space between the main hoop and the headliner, though its probably the same with Autopower since they're designed with full interior in mind.
I do like the little slots (dunno the "technical term") for the shoulder straps though.
How much does he charge for a custom 4-point bolt-in?

15.6.7 Diagonal Brace
At least one (1) diagonal brace shall be used in the same plane as the main hoop. One end of the diagonal brace shall attach to the corner, or horizontal part, of the main hoop above the driver’s head, within twelve (12) inches of the driver’s-side corner. The other end of the diagonal brace shall attach to the mounting plate (or to the main hoop as close to the mounting plate as practically possible) diagonally opposed to the driver’s head (passenger floor).
No direct requirement for a one piece diagonal brace.

He added the bend for me because I'm so tall. If you look at the standard bar below you'll see what I mean.
