ol skool: back in the day SoCal style

some good stories from the early days of the socal import scene...
here was my contribution...
"...i have found a new home...you are my peoples, old skoolers. for those who didn't live it they will never know. all the above post couldn't be more dead on the import scene back in the day.
-ambers - gotta run the double fillament, f*ck that switching the brake light with the turnsignal.
-maria street - mostly racing, but also a place to hang and check out rides
-hans motorsport - if you didn't like what they had you shot over to dazz
-dazz aka zzab - the og location, not the place that spreewell bought, was so small that yes there was wheels on the couch. it is now a nail shop.
-carmate - as stated above, standing in line forever just to buy colored light bulbs and look at empty boxes of char siu bao
-rockford fosgate - running your entire system on one punch 45
-kickers - for those who didn't what to bump fosgates
-alpine alarms with pager option
-yokohama avs intermediates and A008G's
that was my life...this is what i know
some might say that this is a scan of a car picture from 1992 but its not, it was taken last month.

I remember going with my friends big brother to Carmate and Robocar just to look at all the cool stuff.

Gods honest truth. The 45 was like a nuclear reactor, you could run 2 systems off that sucker. Not even HiFonics, "power from the gods" could touch it

i wanted these when i was 16 or 17 (97/98) so bad... i wanted them on a red 92 si hatch...
well, i've had the hatch for the past five years, where the **** are my tracers?!?!
