Re: ol skool: back in the day SoCal style
I have read this tread atleast 10 times over just this year alone!!!! Best thread by far!!!! I remember when every thing was called "Japanese" there was no JDM in those days. Nitrous kits were all the rage and it was how low key you can keep it. Camber = butterfly. Slammed really ment SLAMMED!!!! And Braking your neck just to see a Import drive by and remember that car till you seen it again. My fondest memory was of me playing over at my best friends house (Laos family) and being the GoFor while they wrenched on their Corrollas and datsuns. And the funniest thing is they still do that **** today and they are pushing 50 years old!!!!
OLD SKOOOL F(*#)(*ing ROCKS!!!!!

I just read through this whole thread and it's f*cking awesome.
I was on the other side of the world during all this (not to mention being too young), but it sounds like such a great period in time.
Really interesting

What were some websites you guys visited back in 98-00? I remember I would spend hours on g2ic and some awesome Honda site that was loaded with images of users cars, I wish I could remember what the name of that site.

Bringing this thread back from the dead, we can't let it die. I'm going to go through my old hard drives and try to find some pics

Here is another old pic. I believe it was 1991 when I took this shot at El Dorado Park in Long Beach, CA. I lowered it about a month later.

dope thread...brings me back to the early 90s...I was rolling in a CB7 at the time dumped on cut progress sport springs...
used to hang out a lot over at the Mira Mesa Blvd races and occasionally down south by L street before they shut it down after someone ran over the flagger...
Lots of OG's crews back then, some i remember:
THRUST
Southern Series
935Draggers
SIK
Street Sports
DOS and EOS
Team Enduro
PowerBan
Dynosports
Team Infamous
so much more to name but can't remember **** anymore...
I used to attend all the IDRC events in Palm Dale...and of course the Import Showoff events in Del Mar and NISEI week up in LA...also a few Battle of The Imports up in Pomona...
