Does anyone make a decent, middle budget 13"x6" race wheel?

I guess I'm finally tired of using ugly, mis-matched 13" junk. I've painted my current junk to help them look less pathetic, but now it's just pathetic painted junk. Panasports would be ideal, but I need at least two sets, and I can't do $200 per wheel right now. Diamonds are cheap, but fugly and heavy. Is there anything in the middle?
PS, Yes, I know I'm whining, but seriously..

Superlite makes a minilite clone in that size, that I believe is around $120 each. Let me try and find the link.

I was a bit off, $137.15 each.

The short answer is "no."
The Middle answer is "What is your definition od 'middle'"
The pack racing superlites mentioned above are a 23mm offset but WILL work if your springs are stiff enough and you do some creative fender tugging. I have some 13x6 revolutions that are a 23mm offset that stick out but pass the "roll it through powder" test.
The longer, more hopeful answer is "yes, if you get lucky."
There are a bunch of older BMW and VW fitments that will work. I've seen some BBSs that were optional equipment on some VW GTIs and Sciroccos that are a 33mm offset and weigh about 13lbs each. They are hard to find, but if you stumble across someone who doesn't know what they have you can get them cheap.
There are also the ubiquitous AR-24s. The 13" only come in a 5.5, but they are light enough at 10lbs each that I still love them. I bought 2 sets for $300 and painted them flat black (JDM y0!!!)
In the end, the best option is still the panasports. Just buy them one set at a time and its not that painful.
Also keep a close eye on ebay. Panasports and Minilites often show up there reasonably priced.

hey john i think that the 1992-1995 Honda civic VX wheels are 13x6 i know they are under 10lbs and you can get them for dirt cheap, i have seen sets with tires go for under 200. but that wheel might also be 5.5 wide im not sure

Maybe if you pray hard enough, the Wheel Fairy will come to your house overnight and drop off a set of 13" wheels that weigh less than 11 lbs and cost under $200.

I just bought a set of 13x7 Circles (check the Spun ones they are lighter) at about 12 lbs....they were light enough when they cost for a set what the panasports cost for a wheel....
oh yeah beware the backspacing.....they only come in max 4.5 in 13x7 and will stick out a bit on my miata

That's what I'm hoping.
The minilites look pretty good. I'll have to measure what I have and see how the backspacing compares.
Part of the frustration is that you can now buy 15" wheels all day long for about $400-$500 shipped that weigh 12 lbs (or less), but you can't find a decent looking 13" wheel that's less than 12 lbs for the same amount of money.

Any reason you need to stick to 13"? Is it the gearing? I know IT opened up to larger diameter wheels, did your club not follow?

I run a modified version of IT since my car is out classed in ITA. ICSCC has a Production class with similar rules to IT, but the SCCA's wheel size change doesn't automatically transfer over, someone needs to file for a rule change and the clubs vote on it.
Our Production rules essentially state that the car must use the diameter of wheel that the car came with, no wider than 6". Besides, with a stock final drive, I need all the help I can get.

Ha! Not even close. 13x5. Good rule of thumb with Honda wheels, whatever size you need they are AT LEAST one inch narrower.
Not that you would want to John, but if you'd like I can get you NIB VX wheels for half the price of Panasports.

Thanks, but I've been talking to Pack Racing about the Minilites. I'll most likely go that direction.

Just ordered the last set of 23mm offset 13x6's they had. So far, they really seem like decent folks. Thanks for the link MattP.
