one of those throttle response question
I don't know but I've done what I can to improve my car's throttle response, but nothing works so far...it's frustrating. I've set TDC and at exactly 16deg, new spark plugs...so my timing is good. Throttle cable is tight as it can go. Car starts up and runs, but there is a slack everytime I step on the gas. And when the motor gets back at 1000rpm, I can feel a big drop or thump, and then it idles normally.
Would an exhaust leak cause bad throttle? Might as well give up on doing things on my own and let Honda do it.
basically stock b16a II on my civic.

Be sure the pedal is in right. Also clean out your intake manifold and throttle body. I just cleaned the throttle body on mine and it made a pretty big difference.
Also be sure your air filter and intake are clean.
Hope this helps.

Wouldnt hurt to try seafoam.
1/3 of a bottle in your IM
1/3 in a tank of gas
1/3 in the crankcase
It's worked wonders for alot of people, just do a search on it, I'm about to do it to my car, there's nothing wrong with it, but I did notice alot of gunk and crap in the IM so I want to be totally sure my engine is clean.
